Product Owner - Orchestration and Automation

 

 

About The Role:

 

The Product Owner, Orchestration & Automation works with the Senior Managers, Service Analysts, Application System Owners, partners and vendors to deliver Orchestration & Automation services across the Woolworths environment.

 

Areas of accountability, and responsibility, include supporting the Senior Manager to perform the following functions:

 

Service Strategy:

 

  • Responsibility to develop the strategic plan for Orchestration & Automation and associated services to produce a co-ordinated list of business supported initiatives which can be communicated and used during the budget process. Invest in services that improve the delivery speed, reliability, functionality and cost of IT.

  • Accountability to identify business opportunities and develop a plan to introduce or change IT services to align with strategic business objectives and outcomes

  • Responsibility to map technology investments, refresh plans, and retirement timelines based on key business trends and service consumption patterns

  • Support the budget process for Orchestration & Automation services

  • Review business requirements for service development and improvement

  • Develop business cases

  • Responsible for the Orchestration & Automation platform product roadmap

  • Responsibility to effectively manage and strengthen vendor relationships to align vendor products and services with IT strategy and IT service objectives

 

Service Design & Transition:

 

  • Work with Data Centre, Application System Owners and Infrastructure Analysts to translate these business requirements into product specifications.

  • Accountability for forecasting demand for IT services, develop and maintain service level agreements with business partners, and manage service levels to support business outcomes

  • Accountability to drive technology architecture and service engineering to support service objectives.

  • Expand and maintain the offerings in the service catalogue

  • Responsibility to communicate effectively across multiple constituencies to help the business understand how to adjust to anticipated technology or product changes

 

Continuous Improvement:

 

  • Analyse service quality trends and make improvement recommendations

  • Co-ordinate production of the Orchestration & Automation services Infrastructure monthly report looking at the service strategy, service design and continual service improvement

 

What You'll Need to Succeed:

 

  • 10+ years working with Infrastructure technologies, preferably in the Enterprise workload ecosystem

  • 5+ years Orchestration & Automation enterprise systems, requiring mission critical availability and stability

  • Sound IT Service Management experience across the end to end service lifecycle, most importantly strategy, design and build

  • Demonstrable experience in IT management roles

  • Demonstrable experience in executive relationship management

  • Experience working as a Product Owner
