As a Manager, you will be working as part of our specialist Tax Services team in providing practical specialist advice on a broad range of tax issues.

Primarily, our clients are small/medium businesses (Australian and Foreign owned), high wealth family groups, as well as some international work. Additionally, our Tax team receives a significant amount of work referred from other accountants.

As a key senior role within our Tax Services division, your role will include:

  • Researching and preparing advice on taxation issues such as: 
  • Review of tax affect accounting 
  • International tax issues - CFC, TOFA 
  • Transfer pricing documentation strategy 
  • Review of tax returns for corporate groups 
  • Advising on complex tax issues 
  • Restructuring of corporate groups 
  • Business purchase/sale transactions 
  • Employee remuneration and share plans 
  • Structuring - inbound and outbound 
  • Rulings, detailed advice, ATO audits / disputes 
  • Preparing and presenting papers on taxation issues 
  • Implementing advice, in particular, undertaking procedures to implement structuring/restructuring advice.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Background in corporate tax, advising middle market clients ($30-$200M Turnover) 
  • International tax experience and/or Business Services experience would be desirable 
  • Solid background in consulting as well as compliance work 
  • Broad tax knowledge and a desire to expand this knowledge is essential 
  • The ability to work independently and without direct supervision, but also the ability to work closely with others as part of a team 
  • The ability to manage a large number of concurrent jobs to tight deadlines 
  • The ability and desire to build relationships with fellow employees, clients and referrers 
  • Motivation and desire to help build the Tax Services business.   
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications (Essential):

  • Bachelor’s degree (business, economics, law, or similar discipline) 
  • CA qualified or admitted solicitor
