Currently there is one (1) permanent full-time position available for immediate filling. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to appoint to this advertised vacancy, it may also be used to appoint to a similar position on a temporary or permanent basis that may arise in the Agency within the next six (6) months.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Web Content Officer has a key role in developing, managing, evaluating and delivering Government Procurement’s internet and intranet sites under the direction of the Business Development Manager. This role provides advice and support to staff on content and contributes to the web content, reviews and publishing to other web based systems within Government Procurement.

YOU WILL NEED

ESSENTIAL:

  1. Demonstrated experience in the development and management of web architecture, HTML coding and content.
  2. A strong commitment to customer service and demonstrated experience consulting with internal and external stakeholders at all levels on content related material.
  3. Well developed communication skills both oral and written, with the ability to create clear written documents including online publications.
  4. Experience with using web based graphic, publishing and information design tools such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Dreamweaver.
  5. Strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to solve problems and quickly learn new systems, software and procedures.
  6. Ability to work constructively as a member of a small team to prioritise workloads and meet competing deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.

DESIRABLE:

  1. Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0), web publishing concepts and terminology.
  2. Knowledge of government procurement and contracting practices, processes, policy and strategic directions.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

‘Australian Permanent Residency’ status is a minimum requirement for permanent appointment to the WA Public Sector. However, for appointment on a fixed term contract or casual basis, applicants only require a valid Work Visa for the duration of the entire advertised term.
