Currently there is one (1) permanent full-time position located at Osborne Park available for immediate filling. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to appoint to this advertised vacancy, it may also be used to appoint to a similar position(s) on a temporary or permanent basis that may arise in the Agency within the next six (6) months.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Senior Procurement Manager provides professional procurement advice to clients, and develops and / or manages complex and high-risk contracts for goods and services, information and communications technology, and community services. The position will usually manage one or more work groups providing procurement services to Government agencies. This involves developing business cases and procurement plans, tender documents and evaluation reports, and contract management plans. The role consults with government agencies, industry and the community, and maintains positive and effective stakeholder relationships.

WORK RELATED REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Demonstrated extensive experience in complex, high-risk contract development and/or management, OR relevant project management experience.
  2. Demonstrated high-level written communication skills with the ability to prepare complex procurement and technical documents.
  3. Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to liaise and consult effectively at senior levels in the private and public sectors.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage people.
  5. Demonstrated research, analytical and conceptual skills.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

‘Australian Permanent Residency’ status is a minimum requirement for permanent appointment to the WA Public Sector. However, for appointment on a fixed term contract or casual basis, applicants only require a valid Work Visa for the duration of the entire advertised term.

APPOINTMENT IS SUBJECT TO

  • 100 point identification check; and
  • Criminal Records Screening clearance.
