Pinjarra Senior High School is seeking to establish a pool of dedicated, motivated and highly competent teachers to join the English Learning Area for appointment to full-time, part-time and fixed term vacancies which may arise from the start of the 2018 school year. Placements can be made from the pool at any time for commencement within the 2018 school year.

Suitable applicants will have high expectations and be committed to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with all students in order to support students to achieve the best educational outcomes. You will be required to teach students across Years 7 to 12 who possess a range of abilities, including those with low literacy and those in our Academic Extension Program. Skills or experience in Boys in Education and a willingness to teach in the school’s Football Academy will be highly regarded but not essential.

As a suitable applicant you will be an active contributor to school-wide initiatives and actively employ strategies for improving teaching and learning. You will need to demonstrate excellent classroom practice, focussing on differentiating teaching and learning programs. Classroom management should be based on positive relationships between students and teachers.

The suitable applicant will work as part of a dedicated and collaborative team with the English Head of Learning Area and you will have the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to our school community.

  • Professional engagement.
