Your responsibilities will be varied and you will draw upon your experience to manage, motivate and mentor. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business; from business strategy, financial management, regulatory compliance and lead quality and practice, to mentoring and leading service directors and coordinators and their teams.

Your leadership skills will be pivotal as you will manage a dedicated team of Early Childhood professionals to ensure the provision of quality is met throughout our operations. From business sustainability, through to the development and implementation of evidence based pedagogy; you will be in charge of delivering solutions in line with Uniting’s core values; compassion, respect, bold and imaginative.

About You

You will have experience in managing a range of service types across large geographical areas, with a proven track record in ensuring services have had the appropriate skills and operational requirements provided.

As a professional, you will be self-motivated, self-sufficient and self-determined. You will be able to inspire those around you in ensuring the highest level of quality of care is delivered at all times. Your passion for Early Learning should be palatable and we expect you to lead with this vision.

• Degree level qualifications in relevant early childhood field and / or degree level qualifications in a management field
• At least 5 years’ experience within the early childhood sector
• Demonstrated strong experience in leadership and people management
• Demonstrated experience managing operations of services across multiple sites
• Demonstrated experience creating positive and productive workplace culture
• Demonstrated experience managing change and stakeholder management
• In depth knowledge of the Australian early childhood system
• Detailed understanding of Government early childhood legislation and related funding
• A demonstrated passion for social change and contributing to an organisation of influence for the most disadvantaged
• Skilled at navigating a complex organisation, forging relationships, and managing through influence rather than direct authority as required
