Job description:
The $8.3 billion Sydney Metro North West is Australia’s biggest public transport project. The Sydney Metro North West will be Australia’s first fully-automated rail system and the first stage in Sydney’s new rapid transit network.
Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for the development and maintenance of an integrated document management system for the Design & Delivery (D&D). Managing a small team, you will ensure the D&D complies with all company policies, applicable legislation and recognised standards for the workplace.
Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Registration, filing, retrieval and transmission of engineering documentation;
  • Ensure that the document control procedure requirements are complied with;
  • Maintain facilities and databases to ensure efficient operation of the document control function;
  • Recording, retrieving and filing of supplier literature;
  • Registration, filing and distribution of technical manuals and documentation;
  • Archiving of company records;
  • Printing and copying of engineering documentation.
To be considered for this opportunity:
  • Previous experience in document control in construction or engineering field;
  • A general understanding of database systems;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Well presented, highly organised and task focused combined with outstanding communication and interpersonal skill;
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills;
  • Highly effective oral and written communication skills.
