UGL is currently seeking a Senior Civil Estimator to join our Utilities & Resources business team located in our North Sydney office. Reporting to the Estimating Manager you will be accountable for the timely and competitive compilation, review and submission of pricing of all assigned tenders in compliance with required tender scope and UGL policies.

A key area of focus for this position will be to help manage and coordinate all relevant EOI, Bid and tender processes, including, assisting with documentation compilation and working with the bid team on all reviews.
Skills & experience required;
  • Civil engineering degree or diploma
  • Extensive knowledge of quality management systems
  • Knowledge of AS/NZ ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and AS/NZS4801 Standards
  • Civil estimating experience in the water, power or resource sectors
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands.
  • Able to work to agreed schedules and timeframes and achieve defined goals and outcomes;
  • Conscientious, methodical and focused on maintaining high standards of accuracy and service
  • Experience in both ‘first principles’ estimating and vendor evaluation
  • Ability to use Pronamics Expert Estimator and/or an alternative estimating software to a proficient standard
