Our Opportunity
The GTS-SIX business unit comprises our Ground Transportation Systems business that delivers significant transport infrastructure projects and the Secure Communications and Information Systems (SIX) business that designs, integrates and supports ICT solutions in both the civilian and defence space.
In this newly created role as the Business Process Improvement Coordinator you will be responsible for Lean deployment throughout GTS-SIX, with particular emphasis in the Operations team. This position plays a key co-ordination role in Lean, ensuring methodical support of GTS-SIX staff and animates Lean dynamics through coaching and communication.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop processes improvement mapping required to support current projects and activities
  • The definition, setup, preparation and optimization of Lean manufacturing/operational process
  • Facilitating innovation to reduce costs and improve workflows, guaranteeing feasibility and reproducibility of the process
  • Partnering with business teams in value stream mapping, value stream design, Lean line design, Lean logistics and process
  • Manage potential improvements and initiatives in line with Thales Lean Production System
  • Coach and mentor employees in the use of Lean tools
About You
  • Qualifications in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Lean Six Sigma – Black Belt
  • Experience with manufacturing of complex systems
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, People Management (Coaching), Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
  • Excellent communication skills along with strong leadership capability
  • Familiarity with the application of the requirements of MRP, MES and Level Pull planning
  • Experience in a Defence manufacturing industry highly desirable, though not essential
Special Requirements
