This role exists within Finance and supports the Marketing Business Units to achieve their financial objectives and SSP reporting function, specifically focusing on: Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, profit and loss control and insight.

You will be responsible for:

Financial Planning
  • Co-ordinate and drive the preparation of the Business Unit’s 3-Year Strategic Plan
  • Co-ordination and support the annual budget process for Marketing
  • Assist with the co-ordination of the SSP annual budget and projection processes
  • Translation of Marketing Divisional Budget into Business Units budgets
  • Monthly forecasting of variable and operating expenses
  • Quarterly re-forecast of P&L
Financial Reporting
  • Key cost line reporting
  • Project performance reporting
  • Presentation of monthly results to Business Unit leadership team
  • Preparation of SSP monthly & quarterly P&L result
Financial Analysis
  • Support business unit with ad-hoc analysis
  • Analysis of monthly P&L and influencing of key stakeholders to achieve financial targets
  • Decision support – ensure financial considerations are factored into Business Unit decisions
  • Generate ideas and opportunities to enhance business performance
Continuous Improvement Projects
  • Completion of two major improvement projects which are recognized as having a significant impact on the customers, processes or financial results in SSP
  • Budget, forecasting and P&L analysis for Marketing
  • P&L consolidation for SSP
  • Support to FP&A Manager, Marketing Director, BU managers and Commercial Manager
  • Provide support to the finance team and work closely with the Commercial Managers as required.
As the successful candidate you will have:
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Access Database, Powerpoint
  • Accounting/finance experience is essential
  • Organisational skills and good attention to detail
  • Initiative to work independently and maintain program responsibilities
  • Ability to work closely with key internal and external clients to identify needs and provide updated information
  • Communication skills to effectively build relationships with stakeholders and internal customers
  • Demonstrated track record of success in finance or analyst position providing reporting, analysing information and providing assistance in building business growth.
  • Financial Accounting/ Commercial experience.
