St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne is a facility of St Vincent’s Health Australia under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries.  We are a not for profit Catholic private hospital which operates at Fitzroy, East Melbourne, Kew and Werribee in 2017.

 

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne will extend its trusted, state of the art health care services to areas west of Melbourne when it opens the doors of a new private hospital in 2017.

 

The Services available in our new private hospital will include orthopaedic, obstetrics, cardiology, ear nose and throat, plastic and reconstructive surgery, urology, gynaecology, general surgery, vascular, rehabilitation and oncology/infusions.  Facilities will include operating theatres, a day procedure unit, oncology/infusion unit, a cardiac catheter laboratory, delivery suites and a level 2 special care nursery and a rehabilitation gymnasium.

 

Reporting directly to the Regional Business Development Manager at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne, this exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Business Development and Community Liaison Manager to join our Leadership Team on a full time basis for an 18 month period.

 

The successful applicant will be responsible for;

  • Recruitment of surgeons and medical specialists to admit to St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee to develop the core specialities of the hospital
  • Develop relationships with GP’s in the community to foster referral sources and liaise with community groups to build links
  • Oversee marketing and events with the support of the SVPHM marketing team, including management of all aspects and inter-dependencies with AMP’s, internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement and development.
  • Ensuring the provision of a safe work environment. 

It is essential that the successful applicant has the following;

  • Excellence in communication and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to influence others within the organisation and network externally.
  • Proven management and leadership experience and business acumen.
  • Ability to role model and promote the philosophy, vision, values and objectives of the Hospital.
  • Proven track record in business development or sales essential.
  • Previous clinical management and/or business development experience highly desirable.
