Service Stream are a national service provider to the telecommunications and utilities industries. We specialise in the design, construction and maintenance of new and existing networks on behalf of our blue chip client base.


About the role

The Deployment Manager will oversee all base station construction processes for the VIC, SA, TAS and WA region on behalf of our client, Telstra. Leading a team of Project Managers, Project Engineers and Constructions Supervisors, this role is key to the success of our build program, and offers an excellent opportunity within an ASX listed company for the successful candidate. This permanent position is based in our Collins Street Head Office and reports to the Project Director.  



  • Lead the regional team of project management and project engineering professionals across the client program

  • Manage and co-ordinate all project construction and deployment related activities across the region within the relevant program to ensure business and project activities are met

  • Directly manage a team of regional Deployment Project Managers / Project Engineers working across the region for the client contract

  • Oversee the contractual management of construction crews to ensure safety, quality, program and commercial outcomes are consistently achieved

  • Represent Service Stream in your regional client forums relating to project construction and deployment

  • Ensure that the project construction activities are executed efficiently and in a timely manner in support of the project program requirements

  • Manage all stakeholder relationships within your region including: client, contractors, authorities and internal project teams

  • Work closely with the Project Director and SAED Managers to ensure a seamless interface between the pre-construction and construction phases of the program delivery


Skills and Experience

  • Recognised Engineering qualification

  • Significant experience at the engineering management level, ideally within the telecommunications sector

  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a geographically diverse team

  • Proven relationship building and influencing skills, with experience dealing with client

  • Outstanding project management skills
