Job Description

The Production Manager manages the campaigns and all production elements involved in the physical day-to-day coordination of all TVC, Digital Video, POS and Radio campaigns.

Under the direction of the Producer and campaign Director (if applicable), and will:

  • Liaise with clients to ensure all campaign expectations are met and ensure campaigns run according to schedule/timeline and budget
  • Coordinate all necessary steps required for a successful execution of a TVC/digital video production (including, but not limited to, talent, castings, bookings, wardrobe, props, locations, required permits, approvals, etc)
  • Liaise with suppliers (i.e. crew, studios, equipment, catering, printers, distributors, etc)
  • Proactively develop and look for new production opportunities for our client base
  • Source suitable locations for shoots and maintain contact with homeowners
  • Prepare all pre-production documents, set up and run pre-production meetings
  • Schedule shoot day, create documentation, and coordinate all aspects required
  • Ensure shoot day runs to schedule and manage Production Assistant
  • Oversee the client management aspect of the shoot day
  • Become educated on all required steps of post-production (editing sessions, approvals, slates, mastering creative, trafficking, etc)
  • Ensure successful dispatch of assigned TVCs to the relevant stations
  • General office administration duties as required (i.e. organising production dept storage, invoicing, assisting Producer/Director)

Qualifications

This is a great role for someone who is looking to take the next step in their production career. You might be working in a business which has got your "set fit" and ready for a role that give you full accountability for TVC's beginning to end. And this business enjoys fantastic volume and output.  You'll be part of a small but critical team who are across every aspect of the production process.  

To be suitable you should have the following: 

  • 2+ years experience in a similar role or environment
  • Have a general understanding of the workings of a film, TV or commercial set environment
  • Tertiary qualifications in film/TV, media, advertising, event managing or other related field, bonus, but not essential
  • Good understanding of all elements of the production process from WIP to job on-air
  • Full driver licence
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a clear focus on quality result
  • Well organized with a great attention to the fine detail
  • Have great initiative and problem-solving skills, always thinking ahead
  • Must have excellent computer skills
  • Microsoft Office and associated software packages is a must
  • Basic Adobe Creative Cloud skills, a bonus
  • Able to get on with others and be a team-player
  • Able to work extended hours on occasions when required
  • Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator
