Job Description

J. Walter Thompson Sydney is searching for an integrated designer with strong digital design skills to join it’s delivery department. This role reports into the agency’s Studio Lead and works closely with Creatives and Producers.

This role would be perfect for a mid-level Designer with a broad range of technical skills and a passion for producing highly acclaimed creative work.

The creative opportunities in this role are limitless as you’ll get to work with award-winning talent on a diverse range of projects for a variety of blue chip clients (local and international) as well as new business pitches.


  • Conceptualise and develop identities, and branding in print and digital.
  • Work with creatives to develop their campaign ideas from conception to final artwork.
  • Create accurate finished art, with a high level of attention to detail and true to the specs provided


Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in agency or mainstream design studios.
  • Strong understanding of design, including type, layout for print and digital
  • A keen eye for detail and ability to identify opportunities and obstacles to improve quality of work.
  • Ability to take instruction but able to independtly drive the briefs forward
  • Ability to pick up brand guidelines when provided and deconstruct brands then they aren’t.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Flash)
  • Strong retouching skills
  • Strong digital design skills; has the ability to to quickly turn around web deisgns that are built from best practice
  • Beautiful UI for websites and apps
  • Ideally (but not essential) will have knowledge of motion design, animation, ability to comp video files and will have low level coding skills eg. ability to add click tags or edits to HTML
