Stepping into a leadership position within the Riverland Mallee Coorong Region, you will operate successfully in a large and diverse organisation with a high community profile with key responsibility for delivering a wide range of services and outcomes. Primarily, the core focus of your role as the Regional Director, Medical Services, will include ensuring clinical governance and audit processes for the delivery of safe, high quality medical care. You will be accountable for the management of medical staff and medical services contracts in the regional, including oversight for the recruitment and orientation of new Medical Officers, as well as implementing the SA Health Clinical Services Capability Framework, clinical policies and best practice clinical protocols. In addition, you will provide strategic and clinical input into clinical services and service delivery models across the region.

Instrumental to your appointment to this role is appropriate Specialist Qualification for Consultant/Senior Consultant and registration as a Specialist with the Medical Board of South Australia. Your experience in providing leadership to a complex multidisciplinary organisation in a climate of continuing change will reflect the proven ability to think strategically at a system wide level, with the ability to execute vision. You will have experience in a supervisory role demonstrating success in the effective management of human, financial and material resources. With strong leadership skills and the ability to engage, motivate, build trust and inspire others to achieve objectives, you will have the ability to work collaboratively with the CHSALHN EDMS and Clinical Directors and Advisors.
