The 55 million tonnes per annum Roy Hill Project represents the next generation of integrated iron ore mine, rail and port projects to be developed in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Situated 115 kilometres north of Newman, in one of the world’s premier iron ore provinces, the world class Roy Hill Project is the only independent iron ore project with West Australian majority ownership. With a defined mineralisation of more than 2.4 billion tonnes of high grade iron ore, enough to sustain a mine of life of more than 20 years, the Roy Hill Project is introducing a new wave of innovation, technology and knowledge to Australia’s iron ore industry.


We are currently looking to appoint a Graduate Analyst Demand Chain Execution to join our team, who will report to the Superintendent Execution.


The primary purpose of this position is to provide analytical support to the Demand Chain Execution Team with reviewing and examining production data, investigating product quality issues, investigating schedule variation issues and preparing reports.  To be considered for this positon, you will have completed a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Geology or Mine Engineering with some engineering experience or vacation work experience.  You will also possess a current C Class unrestricted manual driving licence.


This is a 2-year fixed term contract based at our Remote Operations Centre near the Perth International Airport working on a 5_2 roster.


Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Respond to and analyses queries on product quality, supporting the investigation and resolution of product quality issues.
  • Prepare, review and analyse actual performance against Integrated Demand Chain Schedule and Short Term Mine Plans.
  • Review and analyse trends, identify inconsistency, drive continuous improvements, put controls in place for risks associated with data in the Inventory Tracking and Quality Management system
  • Run reports on the various demand chain systems to assist the execution team investigate and respond to questions on task variation and product quality.
  • Escalate to Superintendent Execution when there is a risk to meeting a mine, port or shipping product grade target.
  • Attend and contribute to the daily production meeting as required.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the execution processes.
  • Monitor and improve the ITQM data entry and validation process to ensure accurate and timely operational reporting for the business.
  • Assist the execution team with preparing contingency plans for managing deviations to DETS.
  • Work with the Planning and Scheduling team to ensure the outputs from the weekly schedule are fit for purpose and provide correct guidance for the execution team.


Candidates will demonstrate an ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and possess a high attention to detail. They will also be proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
