Job description:

We are looking to employ an experienced Senior Geologist Modelling to join the Technical Services department based in our Perth Office, reporting to the Superintendent Modelling.  The role will be Perth based working a 5 on 2 off office based roster with site travel on an ad-hoc basis as and when required. 


The primary function of this role is to facilitate the development, testing and delivery of SMART modelling projects as well as providing technical guidance and support to the modelling team so as to ensure the delivery of accurate geological models for use in the formulation of JORC Mineral Resource and Reserve Statements.


In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring geological data and systems are valid, accurate, effective, efficient and fit for purpose and to ensure drilling, sampling and modelling activities are well supported with appropriate guidance, tools, reports, analytics and consultation with a view to continuously improving Orebody Knowledge.


This position will use a collaborative agile approach to engage with the wider modelling team and its stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient delivery of modelling outputs and services as well as providing technical support to the modelling team, other technical services teams and other business units.


As the ideal candidate, you will have an ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, to clearly communicate ore body knowledge and a strong drive to develop more skills (personal and team) and better systems, data, knowledge and insight through continuous improvement, innovation and applied research. You will also possess a degree in Geology or Geoscience with demonstrable experience of using sampling and modelling methodologies and techniques.
