The 55 million tonnes per annum Roy Hill Project represents the next generation of integrated iron ore mine, rail and port projects to be developed in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Situated 115 kilometres north of Newman, in one of the world’s premier iron ore provinces, the world class Roy Hill Project is the only independent iron ore project with West Australian majority ownership. With a defined mineralisation of more than 2.4 billion tonnes of high grade iron ore, enough to sustain a mine of life of more than 20 years, the Roy Hill Project is introducing a new wave of innovation, technology and knowledge to Australia’s iron ore industry.


Roy Hill is seeking Mineral Processing Operators responsible for the operating and monitoring of the processing facility. You will be accountable for maximising throughput rates to produce high quality iron ore product whilst displaying positive safety behaviours consistent with Roy Hill’s core values.

Reporting to the Supervisor Production, this position will be based at the Roy Hill mine working a FIFO 14/10 14/11 day/night shift roster pattern. To be considered in the role, the following experience is desirable


  • Experience operating large scale mineral processing plant and equipment including Train Load Out, Stackers and Reclaimers;
  • Monitoring of equipment and escalating issues to prevent further deterioration;
  • Prepare and safely isolating processing plant equipment for handover to the maintenance teams for routine, unplanned and shutdown activities;
  • Completing daily work schedules and housekeeping activities;
  • Displaying a strong drive for safety of yourself and others;
  • Contributing to continuous improvement ideas.


It is essential that you hold a current WA C class drivers licence and desirable to have an F Class driver’s license. National accreditation in Front End Loader, Bobcat, Forklift and Overhead Gantry Crane is also advantageous.


We’re seeking a self-motivated and active team player who has strong communication skills and with the ability to read and understand work instructions. You will have the flexibility to adapt in an environment with constantly changing priorities.
