The School of Health and Biomedical Sciences comprises three Academic Clusters (Allied Health, Applied Health, and Biomedical Sciences). Primarily based at the RMIT Bundoora campus the School undertakes teaching and research across ten disciplines: Chinese Medicine, Chiropractic, Exercise Science, Human Biosciences, Laboratory Medicine, Medical Radiations, Nursing, Pharmacy, Psychology and Osteopathy.

The Role

The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer will make a significant contribution to the delivery of the undergraduate teaching across multiple programs, leading the teaching of one or both of cell biology, and/or molecular biology. As well as being a leading member of the teaching staff they will also be actively involved in research, consulting and other professional activities.

Your Responsibilities

The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer will develop, engage in and lead high quality research projects that are aligned with the School’s focus area of chronic disease research, will attract external competitive research funding and produce high quality peer-reviewed publications. The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer will have an important research leadership role in embedding their research expertise into the life of the Discipline and School and will be required to develop high-quality, productivity-driven networks across RMIT and with local, national and global, internal and external partners.

Skills & Experience Required

You will have a demonstrated track record of quality teaching and assessment in the University sector in either Cell Biology and/or Molecular Biology with experience in the preparation and delivery of high quality teaching materials and programs at undergraduate level. An emerging nationally recognised research track record (Lecturer)/nationally recognised research track record (Senior Lecturer) and experience supervising research candidates will be key to your success in the role.
