We operate multi-disciplinary medical centres throughout Australia incorporating our Pathology and Imaging divisions. Sydney Day Surgery is part of the expanding Health Specialist Services division which is comprised of day surgeries and specialist services across the country.


The Director of Nursing is responsible for the day to day operation of this busy Day Surgery, including managing a team of 10 staff and 15 VMO's, providing support and ensuring ahigh standardof patient care.

With one modern operating room, we currently offer a variety of surgical specialties including gastroenterology, ophthalmology, gynaecology, IVF and podiatric. Your responsibilities include the provision of support and professional development for all staff, providing a safe working environment, budget management, equipment maintenance and ensuring ACHS accreditation compliance. This role will give you the opportunity to showcase your flair for people management through building and maintaining relationships. The position would suit a current DON of a small private facility who is ready to take a step up in their career or a high performing NUM from the private or public sector who has experience in the peri-operative environment.

A minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in Peri-operative nursing including 2 years as a NUM or higher equivalent
Enthusiastic and Dynamic Registered Nurse with managerial and leadership skills
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Current AHPRA registration is a necessity
Post Graduate Qualification desirable
Knowledge of NSQHS accreditation
