Primary Health Care Limited is one of Australia's leading ASX listed healthcare companies. Primaryrsquo;s services include large-scale medical centres, pathology and diagnostic imaging.

Within our Information Technology Division, a new role has been created for a Technology and Service Architect. Reporting to the CTO the Technology and Service Architect will be responsible for driving the strategic IT direction and ensuring that the business and IT strategies are aligned.

Responsibilities for this role will include:

Support to develop and maintain IT strategy aligned to business strategy:
  • Work with the business and IT to contribute to the definition of an enterprise-wide architecture (1 -3 year horizon) that meets the strategic needs of the business and integrates with other business and IT processes
  • Work closely with the IT Business Engagement, Projects and IT Operations teams to ensure alignment of plans with what is being delivered
  • Facilitate the evaluation and selection of IT products, and provide guidance on architecture/design changes for adoption
  • Consult with application or technology infrastructure development projects to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture, and identify when it is necessary to modify the solution architecture to accommodate project needs.
  • Present technology solutions and business cases to business stakeholders
Establish and maintain architecture standards and guidelines
  • Lead the development, maintenance and governance of the enterprise architecture.
  • Develop the evolution roadmap of the enterprise application portfolio (current to future)
  • Establish standard, guidelines, templates around architecture considerations
  • Facilitate adoption of standards and guidelines in projects and IT Operations
  • Continuously assess and improve the architecture guidelines based on technology trends , business strategy and internal stakeholders feedback
Establish and maintain architecture artefacts
  • Develop and maintain key architecture artefacts aligned to business and technology domains ( i.e. architecture maps, architecture models, flows, documents etc.)
  • Support in publishing a technology radar map pertinent to PHC
  • Coordinate solution architecture implementation and modification activities
  • Be accountable for the translation of business and IT strategies into blueprints and roadmaps (0-18 months) within an architecture focus area (e.g. Digital, Products Operations, Enterprise Systems Information, Integration, Security)
  • Working with IT Business Engagement teams to ensure that business opportunities are identified and realised in line with a standard and cost effective architecture
  • Analyse enterprise business drivers for the associated domain (e.g. Platform) to determine corresponding change requirements
Other responsibilities will include managing IT compliance requirements, technology debt, support and govern the design and delivery of IT Solutions and monitor IT innovation trends relevant to the organisation

Suitable candidates should possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field. Relevant IT certifications like TOGAF
  • Demonstrated experience in Enterprise Architecture role.
  • Specialisation in one or more of the architecture areas ndash; application, technology, information, security
  • Relationship and Networking skills with internal and external service providers
  • Strong business acumen and ability to articulate technology direction in business terms and ability to articulate technology direction in business terms
  • Good leadership, communication and team management skills
  • Experience working with latest technologies around cloud, DevOps, automation, machine learning etc.
  • A working knowledge of IT service principles and frameworks including ITIL, process tools, frameworks, and best practice methods.
