            Oracle University Sales Rep, Education Sales


w  Proven ability to manage complex sales cycle, with a track record of successful  revenue attainment

w  Excellent communication/negotiating/closing skills with customers/prospects

w  Degree a minimum of 5 years' sales experience with more than 3 years in IT sales, actively participating in all stages of the sales cycle

w  High level of understanding of Business Practices and Processes

w  Preferably comprehensive knowledge of Oracle's products or ability and willingness to quickly learn this

w  Strong alliance engagement experience in major opportunities

w  Must be a good team player and be able to solve problem independently

w  Any work experience in education is a real asset

w  Effective negotiator with excellent commutation and presentation skills

w  Responsibilities 

w  This position carries quarterly and annual quotas.  Sales experience carrying a quota, and managing a full sales cycle including closure is necessary for Oracle’s Account sales  Management roles in education.  Specific responsibilities include:

w  Manage and close Oracle sales opportunities through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning

w  Proactive selling of Oracle education service and products through customer meeting, Internet technology/or web based presentations

w  Develop and manage an opportunity pipeline through demand generation, targeted campaigns, targeting Oracle installed base for upsell and cross sell, effectively identifies and qualifies sales opportunities

w  Proactively leverage partners and other LOB sales to maximize our coverage and value brought to the customer

wUnderstand Oracle education offerings ‘value of education’ and the customer benefits of these offerings

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Sells Oracles training services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory. Deals are not usually complex.

Sell Oracle education and related services to prospective and existing customers. Manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning. Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the Education sales offering. Participate in the development, presentation and sales of an Education value proposition. Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale. Identify and develop strategic alignment with key sales influencers.

Job duties are varied and need independent judgment. At least 5 years field sales experience with focus on larger accounts including Education or related sales experience. Highly developed selling, customer relations and negotiation skills. Successful sales track record. Oracle knowledge. Team player. Ability to penetrate accounts and meet with stakeholders within accounts. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Presentation skills. Travel may be needed. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor degree or equivalent.
