As the Manager- Technical Vendor Support Contracts, you will be responsible for managing the multimillion-dollar Major Vendor Support Agreements and its ongoing renewal across Optus Networks covering Mobile, Fixed, Core and other areas within Optus Networks.


The role provides leadership to the Commercial Services Managers and plays a significant role in ensuring that renewals are completed in timely manner and vendor contracts are actively maintained to mitigate operational risk of non- support by vendor during major technical issues requiring access to expert vendor staff to fix and improve Optus Network customer experience.


Specifically, this role focuses on:


  • Establishment and renewal of a portfolio of Technical Vendor support contract renewals covering both Equipment and Application Support Services working with Procurement team
  • Manage renewal within Opex Budget and meet stretch target set by Top Management
  • Driving timely renewal of existing Vendor support contract prior to its expiry date
  • Collaboration with engineering and operational stakeholders to ensure that the Support Contracts meet operational business requirements
  • Driving benchmarking of the supplier’s commercial offer, working with Singtel and its associates via the ‘International Group’ within the Singtel organisation.
  • Driving negotiation on both commercial and contractual terms and delivering the best value for Optus
  • Brilliant project management, operational and relationship management skills to leverage Singtel Group-based opportunities
  • Tracking of Credits due from suppliers against relevant vendor contracts and payment
  • Collaboration with Procurement, Legal, Risk and other stakeholders during the renewal process
  • Drafting the award paper and drive the approval process as per procurement policy
  • Providing timely reporting of Vendor Support Contract status and financial details
  • Driving critical Cost optimisation programs within Optus Networks
  • Adherence to Singtel internal governance policies and procurement processes
