About the opportunity

Optus SMB Business Channels is looking for Cloud Sales Specialist (CSS) to join our high performing Sales team. As Cloud Sales Specialist (CSS) the purpose of your role is to acquire new business via the sale of Cloud PBX, Managed Services and Cloud Applications into the Medium segment of SMB (20 – 150 employees).

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will need to be highly motivated, energetic with a can-do attitude to exceed business targets and execute strategies to grow market share in this segment and product range. You will work closely with a Customer Management team to cross sell Optus solutions into the existing customer base. Similarly you will work with our Lead Generation team for creation of new opportunities from the market.

To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record of successful sales result within the ICT/Cloud Services market, in addition to strong capabilities in solution/relationship/insight selling to both existing and new customer opportunities is essential.

Success in this role will be evident through the achievement of business targets through new acquisition and penetration of services into the existing base. Your ability to effectively differentiate from our competitors in the Customer experience that Optus can provide customers and to engage with Senior Executives across a range of SMB organisation will set you apart from the rest.

About you :

Our ideal candidate is an experienced or senior Business Development Manager and/or Account Manager with proven experience and knowledge in Cloud based applications including Cloud PBX, Managed Services, Microsoft Office 365, IoT and Azure.

  • A true hunter with the passion and hunger to succeed, high levels of personal commitment and willingness to accept accountability for actions
  • You will have a strong understanding IoT, Office 365 and application based solutions. In order to be successful you will have the ability to clearly articulate the Optus Cloud story to customers.
  • Proven sales track record in achieving growth through acquisition strategies and sales teams and customer loyalty through strong relationships
  • High level negotiation skills and excellent verbal, written, presentation and effective listening skills.
