In this role you will provide a single point of contact & ownership of Change Management in the client’s environment, providing governance & quality assurance of all Optus led changes. The Change Manager controls all changes in a standardised manner in relation to the Managed Services Account policies, procedures and plans. You will work with the Customer Delivery Manager and the Release Manager to lead the review of new change requests and the implementation of Change Management process across the account aligned to ITIL framework, ensuring the process requirements and applicable controls for the Enhanced Capability Team (ECT) are robust.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Effective record management, coordination and evaluation of changes including Risk Assessments, Prioritisation, Scheduling Implementation Planning and Test Planning of all changes
  • Management of change categorisation into client/Optus specific categories (ie: standard, normal or emergency) and managed appropriately.
  • Chairing iCAB (Optus Internal CAB) meetings on a twice weekly basis and documenting minutes to achieve business objectives
  • Driving Continuous Service Improvement of the Change Management process model aligned to ITIL framework
  • Managing Post Implementation Reviews and delivering management reports

We’re looking for a candidate with the following:

  • Extensive experience working in a Change or Release Management role, ideally in a Federal Government environment
  • ITILv3 Foundation Certificate
  • Demonstrated understanding of Change Management principles
  • High level of initiative and ability to work autonomously
  • Negotiation skills with a track record of achieving desirable outcomes with key stakeholders

Due to the requirement to hold an Australian Government security clearance, the position holder must be an Australian Citizen.
