An exciting and rewarding opportunity has risen for a Credit Analyst to join the Group Credit Risk, Collections and Recoveries team and be responsible for the assessment of credit applications from both new and existing customers. This will involve reviewing and analysing applications to determine credit worthiness and the degree of risk based upon the customers product selection. You will also assess the customer application data, external credit reports, as well as Optus existing customer databases and account history.
The role of all Credit Analyst is to achieve increased revenue protection and retention of valued customers whilst identifying and reducing potential bad debt through a demonstrated understanding of relevant legislative guidelines e.g. Privacy Laws, Trade Practices, Credit Act, Communications Alliance and TIO requirements.
This role would suit someone with 2+ years’ experience in a credit assessment environment with an understanding of Credit Risk Reports. You will have knowledge and understanding of fraud and credit risk factors and trends and be able to make sound decisions based on risk.
Nb: This role will require working on a shift based roster. The roster covers national retail trading hours 7 days per week. #LI-JT1
