Job description
We are looking for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Consultant to join our team in Melbourne. This position will provide thought leadership, capability development and mentoring, and support to pre-sales activities. You will be accountable for major projects, including managing the technical/service relationship with the customer; and/or advising leaders on key business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities include but not be limited to:

  • Developing business proposals, Statement of Works (SOW) and other reports when required Negotiating project terms and conditions with clients as needed.
  • Identifying project risks and challenges and develop resolution plans.
  • Schedule regular client meetings, review client invoices and review engagement letters.
  • Identify business opportunities and convert them to billable projects.
  • Plan and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Provide support in developing overall end-to-end solutions
  • Prepare and conduct workshops and Conference Room Pilots
  • Direct management of the Dynamics 365FO technical and delivery teams, playing the lead role in coaching and mentoring consultants
  • Effectively liaise with customers and evaluate customers’ business needs and contribute to the strategic planning of solutions.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved across all deliverables within the service offerings and method assigned.
  • When required actively participate in Pre-Sales functions (presenting proof of concept demonstrations, estimating effort and writing tender responses).
  • Contribute to building and developing the client base and actively seek new business opportunities.
  • Support the development of Go to Market initiatives.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • Background within consulting/professional services.
  • Experience people manager and mentor
  • Experience delivering successful projects and depth of knowledge of the business issues in the Dynamics AX domain.
  • Understands the business directions and trends related to the customers industry or domain and; provides value-added solutions/suggestions for the client to procure from Oakton.
  • Ability to understand customers activities, and responds to customer’s priority needs for service and support and good presentation skills.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX, process design and transformation, applications pre-sales and implementation, and solution value assessment.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in consulting, engagement/project management, and/or business and resource management.
  • Effective verbal communication skills with the ability to consult and liaise effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Understanding and hands on experience with Microsoft Life Cycle Services relating to Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.
