Primary Objective: Manage the Office of the Chief Executive Officer, provide support to the Chief Executive Officer

(CEO), and coordinate and manage a diverse and changing portfolio of projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide strategic support to the CEO, Deputy CEO, agency’s executives and Chief Minister’s office and

coordinate the development of high level advice on behalf of the division.

2. Develop and maintain effective collaborative partnerships and strategic alliances with the department’s

workgroups, the Ministers’ offices, government agencies and external stakeholders and draw on these

relationships to facilitate outcomes.

3. Respond to matters on behalf of the CEO and represent the office using high level expertise and discretion and in

a variety of key departmental and whole-of-Government committees, working parties, project teams and high level


4. Research, analyse data, prepare and edit correspondence, presentations, reports and submissions, and where

necessary, undertake special projects.

5. Coordinate the division’s contribution to the preparation of strategic plans, annual reports, and associated


6. Act as Disaster Liaison Officer under the department’s Disaster Management Plan.

7. Manage governance requirements including the oversight of business items for the Chief Executive Officer, the

department’s Board of Management and the CEO Coordination Committee and requirements.

5. Highly developed written communication and analytical skills, including the ability to prepare and edit a wide range

of ministerial and agency reports with a high level of attention to detail.

6. Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work in strategic partnerships to achieve outcomes.
