Primary Objective:

Develop and monitor the Program Management Office’s (PMO) business processes and reporting functions,

supporting and enhancing project management capabilities across the Remote Program Delivery Office (RPDO) to

facilitate the delivery of strategic and program objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain effective strategic relationships and alliances with key stakeholders.

2. Provide specialist advice, guidance and support to enhance project management capabilities.

3. Identify and implement repeatable processes and business process improvements to mature and embed the

PMO, maintaining alignment with Departmental source systems and reporting architecture.

4. Implement and monitor program and project governance standards across all levels of the PMO, including

tracking, monitoring and updating the status of deliverables and outcomes.

5. Implement and manage change control processes.

6. Prepare consolidated project reports and participate in monthly reviews with Program Directors.

Selection Criteria


1. Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in business analysis and portfolio management.

2. Prior experience in the establishment and operation of a PMO.

3. Extensive knowledge of project management standards and their application with demonstrated success in project

control and benefit realisation.

4. High order of stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and

maintain productive professional relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

5. Highly developed organisational skills, particularly the ability to be flexible in managing conflicting priorities to

meet deadlines in an environment undertaking continuous improvement and change.


1. Tertiary qualification in a related field.

2. Report development experience with Business Objects.
