Primary Objective: Provide administrative support to the Elders Visiting Program team in facilitating efficient and

effective delivery of a range of services, including developing and maintaining accurate community profiles and service

provider data bases, and administrative duties associated with records management, purchases, and the logistics of

events management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide high level administrative support including records management, minute taking, organising travel for staff and

Aboriginal Elders, data input, and database management.

2. Maintain resources and take responsibility for purchasing and processing accounts for payment including those by

Corporate Credit Card.

3. Primary responsibility for developing and maintaining community profiles to ensure accurate, important and culturally

appropriate information about communities to inform and assist NTDCS staff.

4. Required to work autonomously to deliver the day to day operational requirements within stringent timeframes. More

complex tasks and processes to be initiated through consultation with the Manager EVP, or Director Indigenous

Programs and Services

5. Manage and disseminate information utilising available record management systems

Selection Criteria

Essential:

1. A proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as work as part of a team.

2. Demonstrated experience in an administrative role with a demonstrated competency in records management,

purchasing and accounts management, travel bookings, minute taking, and data base management.

3. An ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures, particularly Aboriginal people from regional and

remote communities in the Northern Territory.

4. Highly developed interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills with an ability to handle

sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.

5. Knowledge and experience in online systems such as the Electronic Invoice Management System (EIMS), and

Tower Records Information Management (TRIM) or similar.

Further Information:
