Remuneration: Min $121,917 to Max $140, 996 plus Super & Leave Loading

About the Role:
This role leads the development of department wide programs, standards to improve the availability and quality of data and information. In undertaking this, the role collaborates with business and technology units across the Department’s portfolios and offices to establish processes and frameworks that strengthen the quality and availability of the organisation’s information holdings.


Essential requirements
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline, or demonstrated advanced ability in business analysis, project definition and business case preparation.
• Demonstrable and comprehensive knowledge of full report development life cycle, its typical phases, the deliverables within the phases and the Analysts role within the phases
• Demonstrable expertise in application of relevant approaches and techniques for research, analytics, forecasting and statistical analysis
• Demonstrable and comprehensive experience of 8+ years in a similar role.

Role status:  This constitutes ongoing employment under section 43 of the Government Sector Employment Act 2013.


Eligibility: To be eligible to apply for temporary and/or ongoing employment within the Department of Planning & Environment, candidates must be an Australian citizen or have the status of permanent residence in Australia.

2. Briefly describe a situation where you had to manage a complex and diverse program of requirements in an environment characterised by competing priorities, tight deadlines and legislative frameworks. How did you approach this situation and what communication skills, techniques and tools did you use to resolve the contention/ conflict leading to desired outcomes?
