The Opportunity

Here at Transport for NSW, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Manager, Rail Timetable Production to lead, inspire, motivate and provide direction within our Rail Program Delivery team.

We are looking for an astute, logistical planner and problem solver, with impeccable written and oral communication skills; someone who can demonstrate influential negotiation skills across multi-functional stakeholders internal and external to assist in optimising desirable business outcomes.  Customer service is at the core of what we do, and you must be committed to delivering high-quality customer-focused outcomes, in conjunction with fostering a highly collaborative team culture within.

This role plays a key part in contributing to strategic planning, policy development and decision making on crucial projects, issues and priorities, in tandem with overseeing the development, design, implementation and maintenance of the Rail Standard Working Timetable based on customer and freight operators requirements and infrastructure constraints.

You will be reporting into the Director Rail Timetable Production & Production, and have a number of direct reports.

Essential requirements
  • Substantial experience within a rail environment
  • Advanced expertise in timetable and operational plan development 
  • Sound understanding of the relationships that exist within and between Operations and major stakeholders
