The Department of Finance, Services and Innovation (DFSI) is a service provider, regulator and central agency for government. DFSI supports sustainable government finances, major public works and maintenance programs, government procurement, information and communications technology, corporate and shared services, consumer protection, administration of State taxation and revenue collection, and NSW land and property administration.


Reporting to the Executive Director Government Technology Platforms, the Director GovDC and Marketplace Services is responsible for managing the whole of NSW government data centres providing leadership, direction and significant stakeholder management to government clients. The role strategically manages and supports a team of experts to support a wide range of agencies operating in the whole of government data centres (GovDC) and marketplace of service providers where suppliers provide an on-premise “As a Service” ecosystem which creates a hybrid cloud environment for agencies. 


Specifically, this will involve:
  • Lead the delivery of complex, high value and quality ICT services across the whole of government ensuring optimal levels of support for the organisation’s key operational requirements
  • Drive the implementation and delivery of new systems, technologies and services under a unique procurement strategy to deliver innovative and flexible ICT solutions
  • Collaborate with a significant range of stakeholders to identify and define specific ICT business requirements

To be successful you will have a strong customer focus and exceptional vendor and stakeholder management skills. This will be supported with a proven track record of achievement at a senior level in providing leadership and management in the delivery of large scale ICT programs and projects in a complex environment. You will possess high levels of analytical and conceptual skills, commercial acumen and a focus on providing world class business outcomes through meaningful application of ICT. Your ability to lead, plan and manage supported by outstanding communication, engagement and collaboration skills will be essential.

Job Status Ongoing, full-time under the Government Sector Employment Act.


Salary Senior Executive Band 1. Total remuneration package range from $211,844 to $233,787 dependent on skills and experience.  Package includes salary and employer's contribution to superannuation.
