Program Financial Advisor
Service NSW Grade 10
Full Time / Temporary up to 6 Months

Your renumeration
SNSW Grade 10 – The Package includes base salary range of ($117,291- $128,178), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

Primary purpose of the role
The Program Financial Advisor is responsible for managing end to end program financials and dependencies across a $40m program. You will also be responsible for the provision of financial and management reports for project streams and the overall summary across the CTP program.

Key Accountabilities
  • Working with the Program Manager to establish and manage budgets and expenditure forecasts 
  • Reporting on project budgets, including status reports for use by the Program Manager.
  • Undertake financial analysis and prepare reports and briefing materials for the CTP program on various delivery options.
  • Contribute to the development of confidential briefing notes related to the CTP Program and its performance, for consideration by the CEO and Executive Level Team.
  • Analyse information provided by the vendors and validate to allocated budgets and forecasts.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term plans and financial models to improve planning and budgeting.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and review of budget management reporting systems and financial performance improvement frameworks and initiatives 
  • Ensure accounting activities comply with relevant legal, professional and ethical standards.

Essential Requirements
  • Experience managing complex cost models and budgets for individual projects and programs.
  • Relevant experience in projects and management activities (within Government context will be highly regarded).
  • Finance / Business tertiary qualifications coupled with experience managing program finances, property suppliers and landlords.
  • Experience developing briefing papers and information packs, related to program financials and specific programs
  • In-depth understanding of business and financial metrics, business plans 
  • Demonstrated experience in management accounting activities including budget management
