NOW HIRING: Correctional Officers (Ongoing) Broken Hill Correctional Centre

  

This is a great opportunity for individuals who would like to be part of a team providing high standard security and containment services and overseeing inmate activities within NSW Gaols.

The role requires people who 

 
·         Are flexible and adaptable to new situations.

·         Can complete incident reports.
·         Can use core office applications.  

      

Candidates offered employment will be initially employed for a 10 week period to complete a full time (Monday to Friday) training program.   Successful candidates would be required to complete a Certificate III in Correctional Practice in the following 2 years.


This is a great opportunity for individuals who are interested in providing high standard security and containment services; overseeing inmate activities within NSW gaols. This role will be suited to individuals who enjoy working on a rotating roster system (24/7) where the assigned shift can vary between 3-8 Hours.

 

Other essential requirements of the role:

·         Minimum age 18 years.
·         Australian or NZ Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
·         National Criminal Check clearance
·         Willing and able to work irregular shift patterns/hours of work (shifts up to 8 hours, 7 days a week).
·         Be available to work at short notice (calls for casual work are after 5pm for work on the following day).
·         Competent computer skills as you will need to work with various operating systems.
·         Full Driver’s license (or minimum p2 with the ability to gain Full license before commencement of training if successful) .
·         Able to adhere to dress code including no visible inappropriate or offensive tattoos.
