• Key role delivering a range of infrastructure projects for state and local government
• Salary package up to $99,522

Public Works Advisory delivers significant infrastructure projects to support the community. Our expertise in planning, design, delivery and maintenance of engineering, building, and environmental projects enable us to assist our clients to maximise value and manage risks associated with their assets.

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to fill an ongoing role. The role will work in a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of professional project management and advisory services for state and local government agencies in NSW.

About you:
• You are a Construction, Architectural or Project Management degree-qualified Project Manager or have equivalent work experience;
• You have demonstrated experience in delivering project and contract management on a range of building projects.
• You will have demonstrated experience in utilising a collaborative approach, as well as your knowledge of project management principles, to effectively work with teams of professional staff within a commercial environment;
• You have skills in project planning, review and reporting within a commercial environment. Specifically, you will need to have demonstrated your abilities in budgeting, cost control and reporting as well as the management of fees. You will also have experience in contract and consultant engagement and administration;
• You enjoy working collaboratively with clients and multidisciplinary teams to meet business and client expectations in a commercial environment;
• You have sound communication and interpersonal skills, good personal presentation and are experienced in managing client and stakeholder relationships. You will need to be able to give examples of times when you have demonstrated influencing skills when working with a range of staff and clients;
• You will need to have a high degree of computer literacy, with an understanding of project management systems and experience in the use of the Microsoft Office product suite;
• You will need a valid NSW Driver’s Licence and a willingness to drive to remote locations, which may include overnight stays.

Salary: Grade 5/6. Salary package up to $99,522. Package includes a base salary ($81,369 - $89,781) and employer’s contribution to superannuation.

Job Status: Full-time ongoing and temporary appointment under the Government Sector Employment Act 2013.

Plan and deliver assigned infrastructure projects with medium complexity in accordance with standard
organisational procedures by seeking guidance from a more experienced project manager when
? Participate in planning sessions and conduct project tasks under the leadership of a more senior
Project Manager to contribute to infrastructure planning and delivery.
? Deliver tasks in accordance with cost budgets to contribute to business performance.
? Be responsive and accurate with all client interactions and deliver tasks to meet best practice standards
and client requirements in order to build and maintain effective client relationships and business
? Participate in business development activities including assisting in preparation of fee proposals,
attending business development meetings and contributing towards opportunities for repeat and new
? Identify opportunities for process improvement, capture lessons learned on projects, and participate in
lessons learned forums to contribute to improved business performance.
? Work collaboratively with Manager on setting and actioning individual performance and development
goals to achieve continuous professional self-development and contribute to the professionalism and
technical reputation of the business unit.
