Job description:
  • We are looking to establish a Customer and Events Assistant talent pool which will be valid for up to 12 months for casual opportunities.
  • The role is based at the Sydney International Shooting Centre
  • Salary $30.07 per hour

The Office of Sport works with key sector partners to promote and deliver a vibrant and valued sport and active recreation sector that enhances the lives of the people of NSW.
The Office is responsible for planning, managing and delivering high quality venues, facilities, sport and active recreation development programs, high-performance sport, sports integrity and safety. It is also the driver for NSW sport policy and strategy, the formation and dissemination of insights and information, and the promotion of partnerships.
A bit about you
* You enjoy getting to know regular customers and building a rapport.
* You have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* You have some retail or cash handling experience.
* You are able to work autonomously with little supervision and are comfortable with making decisions.
* You are comfortable working on events with large customer bases.
* You are aware of safety requirements and can deal with incidents and emergency situations.

1. Describe a time where you had to deal with a difficult customer. What actions did you take to develop an appropriate solution to meet the needs of your customer?
2. Describe a time where your supervisor identified an error that you made. How did you take the feedback and how did you respond?
