As a minimum teaching qualification teachers must hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110).

Key Application Responses

The following selection criteria form a specific part of the selection process. Candidates for this role must address each of these items specifically in their application.

  • Degree, in Science, Applied Science, Health Science, Human Movement, Physiotherapy; or a Health Training Package Diploma of Remedial Massage or Aromatherapy  or an equivalent qualification AND Eligibility for enrolment at the independent practitioner level with a massage therapy professional association such as:
    • Association of Massage Therapists (NSW) Ltd,
    • Association of Remedial Masseurs Inc,
    • Australian Traditional-Medicine Society Ltd,
    • International Federation of Aromatherapists
  • Relevant and current practical experience of at least 2 years post Degree or Diploma, in the massage industry, at least part of which has been gained within the last 18 months.
  • Comprehensive current knowledge of the industry and job roles and strong understanding of current trends and diversity within the Complementary Health sector.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110), or its successor.  See Note 1 in the Position Information Package.
  • High level written and oral communication skills in English and demonstrated organisational skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of educational, industrial or community environments.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining professional currency and
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality customer services.
