Working with us
The Office of Sport works with key sector partners to promote and deliver a vibrant and valued sport and active recreation sector that enhances the lives of the people of NSW.
The Office is responsible for planning, managing and delivering high quality venues, facilities, sport and active recreation development programs, high-performance sport, sports integrity and safety. It is also the driver for NSW sport policy and strategy, the formation and dissemination of insights and information, and the promotion of partnerships.
A bit about you
* You can plan and deliver outdoor education and recreation programs to a variety of sport, community, and school groups
* You can deliver programs in line with standard operating procedures
* You enjoy dealing with a variety of customers and can adapt service delivery to meet their needs
* You are aware of safety requirements and can deal with incidents and emergency situations
* You can collaborate with your colleagues/clients to deliver program components
* You have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Essential Requirements
* Degree level tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or a Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation and relevant industry experience
* Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance
* Undertake on-call responsibilities on a rostered basis during residential programs

Pre-screening questions
1. Describe a situation when you developed and delivered a program to meet your client’s requirements and desired outcomes. Detail the scope of your program, the steps you took to implement and any challenges you faced.
2. Outline a situation where you were required to display well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills, the ability to work as part of a team and initiative.

* Successful candidates will be placed in a casual pool for a period up to two years.
* This is a child-related position. You will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance number as a condition of employment. For more information, visit the Office of the Children’s Guardian website.
* The successful applicant will be subject to a National Criminal Records Check.
* No offer of employment will be made until all relevant clearances are finalised.
