We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to support our busy Finance Team based in Eight Mile Plains, QLD.

Your new role

Our successful applicant will provide administrative support to the Accounts Payable Team with the processing of customer reimbursement through Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. The role will assist in ad-hoc Accounts Payable processing when required. Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders is required to ensure reimbursements are correctly processed and reconciled in a timely manner, with other primary duties including:

  • Processing petty cash claims
  • Preparing provision monies payments
  • Checking all provisions receipts when received
  • Ensuring that monies not spent or returned are dealt with according to practice
  • Supporting Accounts Payable by assisting in processing invoices and purchase orders

The position is a full time permanent role.

What you bring

To be considered for the position, you will ideally have a positive attitude, enjoy working as part of a high functioning team and be able to work flexibly on a range of projects across media relations and communication, including:

  • Proven experience providing administration support
  • Sound level of numeracy, literacy and computer skills, including the ability to use emails, programs and spreadsheets to an advanced level
  • Ability to juggle competing tasks and set priorities within a busy work environment
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Knowledge of and capacity to apply Workplace Health & Safety principles in the workplace
  • Previous experience in administration and written and verbal communication skills
