Job description:

Monadelphous provide a world class heavy lifting service, with an extensive range of state of the art heavy lift cranes and equipment. Supported by a highly motivated and experienced team, our heavy lifting department provides services and support to all project types, from single complex lift to a full multi-crane package.

Due to continued growth we are seeking a HSE Coordinator to join our Heavy Lift team overseeing prominent maintenance/shutdown/capital upgrade contracts across WA. In this role you will work closely with the Operational Management Team and blue-chip clients to build effective business relationships and strengthen HSE performance across the business unit

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership, technical advice and support to Operational business units to meet the needs of an increasingly diversified business
  • Provide coaching and guidance to site based leadership teams
  • Provide strategic focus, technical advice and initiatives to improve HSE performance across the business
  • Develop and implement programs and workshops in collaboration with site teams
  • Facilitate/lead risk management processes during all phases of a contract
  • Provide pre-contract and project-start-up HSE support
  • Champion behavioural safety programs
  • Assist management in the investigation of HSE incidents and provide advice on the development of improvement opportunities and recommendations
  • Analyse HSE data, identify trends, and report on HSE performance

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, specifically within an operational/shutdown contractor environment (preferably within the mining minerals sector)
  • Tertiary qualifications in OH&S
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or similar
  • A high level of oral and written communication skills (in particular report writing skills)
  • An ability to engage and develop relationships across all levels of the organisation and with client stakeholders
  • Flexibility to travel to sites throughout WA at short notice on various rosters will be a requirement for this position
