Job description:

This role is integral in enabling Monadelphous to develop and resource our operations in Australia and internationally, in countries such as PNG and New Zealand. In leading a team and providing key industrial relations management advice, you will assist the company in securing, maintaining and efficiently utilising the company's human resources.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of IR/ER services to operating Divisions to enable workplace productivity gains;
  • Partner with operational and business support managers to successfully deliver people performance strategies;
  • Develop and implement ER/IR management plans, initiatives, projects or new internal systems, policies and procedures;
  • Monitor and respond to changes in legislation, regulations and policies;
  • Ensure all people processes and activities comply with relevant legislation and company policy;
  • Interpret and apply relevant Employee Relations legislation (Fair Work Act etc.) with the ability to investigate and negotiate settlement of grievances or disputes (disciplinary action or terminations);
  • Ability to review and interpret industrial instruments;
  • Knowledge of change management processes. Address resistance to change, influencing change, gaining support and commitment to business/ group improvements;
  • Working knowledge of the division's performance management processes and systems, including processes;
  • Working knowledge of negotiation and bargaining strategies and tactics;

What you bring:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management/Industrial Relations, or a related field;
  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar role (experience in the resources industry will be highly regarded);
  • Well-developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills;
  • The ability to develop long-term relationships, earning the respect, trust and support of our customers, partners and each other;
