Job description:

The MGJV joint venture between Monadelphous and Giovenco Industries will provide a range of services to the Woodside-operated Karratha Gas Plant Life.

Our scope includes the planning and execution of mechanical, electrical, access, fire protection application, blasting and painting, cladding and insulation services.

Due to securing this contract for services to the Karratha Gas Plant we are seeking a highly capable QA/QC Inspector. The primary focus of the QA/QC Inspector role is to support our work scopes across Coatings, Insulation and Fireproofing. This role is also responsible for the production of all relevant documentation in adherence with company procedures, a liaison with managers, supervisors and foremen, as well as client representatives and provides guidance and technical support.

It is critical that you hold the suitable qualifications in NACE and ICORR, and our ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge from a hands-on perspective.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in corrosion protection coatings in offshore and marine environments
  • NACE Coating Inspector (CIP) Level 2
  • ICORR 2 Insulation/Fireproofing Inspection
  • Significant experience in Coating / Insulation Projects
  • A strong QA/QC background
  • Excellent understanding of Quality Control and Assurance processes
  • Knowledge of applicable International and Australian standards
  • Knowledge of materials used in Coating / Insulation of piping
  • Experience in leading compliance audits
  • Must be a team player whilst being motivated and able to be part of the leadership of this exciting Project
  • Clear and articulate communication style
  • Strong time management, capable of operating in an environment with shifting priorities and demands
  • Experience working in a FIFO environment, with Brownfields/LNG experience
  • Commitment to Project completion
  • Rope Access certification will be highly regarded
  • Not suitable for applicants with an SMP background
