Job description:

MinterEllison is an international law firm, headquartered in Australia and regarded as one of Asia-Pacific's premier law firms. Our teams collaborate across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the UK to deliver exceptional service.

We have a clear goal – to be our clients' best partner. We put the client at the centre of everything we do and partner with them to deliver truly innovative solutions.

The Melbourne REEP team is a large, collegiate team with a commitment to achieving excellence in all that we do. When working on matters, we aim to see the world through our clients' eyes, to intimately understand the nuances of the deal, the many issues and complexities it presents and how best to solve for these.

Our clients are sophisticated and savvy, ranging from developers, investors, owners, landlords, property fund managers through to governments and statutory bodies both local and international.

We work collaboratively and seamlessly with our colleagues across MinterEllison's many practice groups and offices, especially Tax, Finance, M&A and commercial litigation. We love what we do and take pride in the quality of the service and support we deliver.

You should have strong experience practising in Property Law and be looking to harness those skills to advance your career. You will have a strong work ethic, a "can do" attitude and a history of immersing yourself in clients' deals. Willingness to engage in business development, and a real desire to know your clients and their industries are also important because many of MinterEllison's key client relationships emanate from the REEP team.

  • Sale and development of the mixed use Defence Site at Maribyrnong
  • Mixed use redevelopment of the Moonee Valley Racecourse
  • Development of the Melbourne Docklands Precinct
  • Acting for the Consortium on the Melbourne Metro Project including the over station development
  • Carlton Connect Project for the University of Melbourne
  • The redevelopment of The Glen Shopping Centre
  • The residential and town centre development at Clyde North for a major developer client development

These iconic projects are just a small snapshot of the state changing, multi-disciplinary matters our Real Estate, Environment and Planning team are currently working on. On every deal we match our technical excellence with our commercial and market insights to successfully partner with our clients to achieve their business goals.

Driven, commercially savvy, team oriented property practitioners at the Lawyer/Associate level are encouraged to contact us to discuss their interest.

We welcome applications from people who:

  • collaborate to deliver innovative solutions and ensure the best outcome is achieved for the client
  • continually contribute to the growth and success of the firm
  • inspire others through their commitment to personal growth, innovation and the delivery of exceptional results.

Our diverse and talented teams enjoy a culture of collaboration, innovation and inspiring others. We are committed to your career development by leveraging the unique strengths you bring to the team and building your capabilities and business acumen to take you to the next level faster.

We care about ensuring you balance your professional goals with your commitments and interests outside of work, and provide a wide range of social, financial and health benefits to support your wellbeing. Our internal support teams are second to none and will help you perform at your best each day.
