Our Intellectual Property (IP) team

MinterEllison’s intellectual property team is at the forefront of intellectual property development globally. Our large and diverse team advises on the creation, acquisition, commercialisation, protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights and has forged an enduring reputation working with leading local and global organisations.

Your role

A great opportunity currently exists for a Paralegal to join our Sydney office. In this role, you will work closely with John Fairbairn and his IP team, by assisting in specialist trade mark matters, conducting IP due diligence and where needed, assisting with IP advice and litigation support. This is a practice that involves a large volume of matters. You will be responsible for legal and non-legal tasks including online searching, preparation of results schedules and precedent based forms and correspondence, legal research, completing client reports, as well as general business development (e.g. article writing) and administrative support (e.g. filling, billing).

  • the ability to consistently produce accurate, high quality work and follow process;
  • the ability to work in a highly collaborative team focussed environment.
