Projects and Infrastructure - Associate or Junior Senior Associate

About Us

Named as the 2017 Law Firm of the Year at the Australasian Law Awards, Mills Oakley is an Australian commercial law firm experiencing significant growth. The firm is resourced by over 89 Partners and more than 650 staff in offices across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra and Perth. From origins in Melbourne in 1864, Mills Oakley has grown to become a leading national firm whose clients include ASX top 200 listed companies, mid-sized corporates, the public sector and not-for-profit organisations. Mills Oakley’s success has been driven by the energetic vision of the firm and our commitment to building strong, lasting relationships with clients.

The role
Exceptional new opportunity for an experienced Associate or junior Senior Associate looking to step up and join our Melbourne Projects & Infrastructure team. Working with Partners Zac Kerr and Luke Westmore for leading clients on sophisticated projects across the infrastructure spectrum (energy and renewables, transport, PPP and social infrastructure), this role will not disappoint. The work involves advising owners, developers and contractors on the procurement and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects for domestic and international clients. With an enviable pipeline of projects for leading clients, the work is both challenging and rewarding, and the growing team has a high-performing, inclusive and learning-oriented culture.

Who We’re Looking For

Candidates with EPC, D&C, O&M and/or FM experience, particularly in a project finance environment, will be highly regarded. However, a relevant corporate, resources, finance or construction disputes background may also suit the brief, if married with the right cultural fit and a willingness to commit to becoming an accomplished and capable infrastructure lawyer.

What We Offer
At Mills Oakley, we believe our success hinges on our ability to attract and retain high calibre professionals. Mills Oakley is dedicated to providing a stimulating work environment and the support and recognition you require to build a strong foundation for a great career. Mills Oakley takes a collaborative approach to your learning & development. We are small enough to give you the personal attention and career development to help you realise your full potential; yet large enough to provide the challenge of diverse, high-quality work and clients and resources required to drive your career.
