About the role:

As the Management of Change Manager you will responsible for implementing the Management of Change (MoC) process across the Projects Division, assisting the project development team and project delivery managers with the development of change management and supporting documentation, consultation and engaging with key stakeholders as part of the change management process.


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Ensure the management of change processes and training are implemented and enforced to all levels of the organisation for assigned projects
  • Ensure the various project teams and contractors comply with MTM’s safety management system.
  • Advise project teams with the development and submission of management of change documentation.
  • Ensure project teams develop and maintain Change (risk) Registers that are aligned with the SMS, and the transfer of residual risks to the business through the consultation process.
  • Advise project teams with provision of deliverables for meeting key milestone events for submission to the Safety, Engineering & Environment Department, and the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR).
  • Ensure that safety of the operating system is not compromised and promote a safety culture within the business.
  • Ensure key Change Sponsors and internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders and other Rail Transport Operators, are consulted and engaged as part of the Management of Change process.
  • Effectively manage and maintain change management documentation that will be subject to internal and external audit compliance inspections.


About your experience:

Applicants should preferably possess experience across the following areas:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Transport Planning, Rail Operations, Business Management, Engineering, Risk Management or other suitable fields
  • Lead auditor experience
  • Experience in managing a wide range of stakeholders groups.
  • Experience in project, systems development, or construction environment.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining change management documentation and risk registers into an operating rail network.
  • Experience in implementing complex systems into the rail network.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in Change Management or related roles. 
  • Management experience in railway operations, maintenance or similar with a demonstrated understanding of how railway activities are integrated within an organisation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the MTM network, train operation procedures, train fleet, control systems, stations and customer services, infrastructure and associated systems of operation, signalling and safe working systems.
