Job description:

Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) is a multi-award winning organisation and we pride ourselves on our team of high performing professionals who are talented, inclusive and safety focused.

We are currently seeking an Occupation Planner for work on our Level Crossing Removal Project. This large-scale project will benefit train users, pedestrians, cyclists and drivers by improving safety, reducing congestion and enabling more frequent train services.

In this role, you will be required to plan occupations on the rail corridor and coordinate with various stakeholders.


• Develop the program of works for Occupations, co-ordinating the planning of all workgroups scope, identify and highlight critical program interfaces.
• Program update and report any issues and areas of program risk.
• Interface with construction, safety, environmental, traffic management, safe working and other stakeholders.
• Provide programming and planning assistance during all rail occupations and shutdowns.

To be successful in the role, your previous experience will include:

• Level 1 Train Track Awareness or greater
• Construction Industry Card.
• Previous planning and Primavera P6 experience.
• Ability to understand and apply the complexities of construction within the railway corridor.
• Ability to effectively coordinate large diverse teams to focus on program schedule key result areas
