Job description:

McArthur River Mine (MRM) is one of the world’s largest Zinc, Lead and Silver deposits and is the largest supplier of Bulk Concentrate to the world market. Currently, this world class deposit has a long 20-year mine life.

We are currently seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to optimally maintain MRM mobile assets to ensure their effective and efficient operation, ensuring safe and efficient operation at all times, in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mine Maintenance, your key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Performing maintenance tasks to execute the plan to a high quality;
  • Responsible for identifying resource requirements necessary to perform maintenance tasks (e.g. materials, equipment) and source these resources by completing stock requisitions in accordance with approved processes;
  • Responsible for following safety practices and procedures when undertaking work;
  • Identification of continuous improvement opportunities;
  • Contributing to a positive team culture in line with Glencore values, supporting others through mentoring and coaching where appropriate;
  • Following environment practices and procedures when undertaking work

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Trade qualified Auto Electrical
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management, safety systems and legislative requirements for mining
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining open cut mining fleet
  • Knowledge of asset maintenance methodologies
