About the role:

As a Senior Aquatics Lifeguard you will be responsible for the provision of quality customer service and effective lifeguard and aquatic services to ensure a clean and safe facility for public enjoyment at Maitland City Council’s Aquatic Centres. You will perform lifeguarding duties including supervision, resuscitation and/or first aid as required to the users of Maitland’s Aquatic Centres. To ensure the pools are kept to a high standard of cleanliness you will assist in the daily operation of all pool plant, monitoring and maintenance of pool quality, as well as maintaining a daily diary/running sheet of pool operations.

About you:

Ideally, you will hold a Certificate III in Aquatics and Community Recreation, as well as your RSLSSA Pool Lifeguard Licence and current First Aid Certificate. Further, you will have demonstrated experience as a lifeguard and the ability to think on your feet..

Salary and hours:

The salary for the role is $28.0889 per hour, plus weekend penalty rates if you work on a Saturday or Sunday. We are looking for motivated individuals to work at our aquatics centres which are open 7 days a week on a temporary basis, 44 hours per fortnight until the end of April 2019. We need people to work across weekends and weekdays across both long and short shifts.
